House Concert Booking

The Bobby Weinapple House Concert is an intimate, entertaining evening of original songs, unexpected gems and fresh arrangements of familiar favorites, woven together with stories from a life in music and theater. Every show is a little different and can be tailored to the host, audience and location. Think: a singer-songwriter evening with the storytelling of a small theater show and the relaxed atmosphere of friends gathered around a living room.

My solo concerts combine music, storytelling, humor and emotional connection. A typical show might move from an original song with intimate guitar accompaniment, to a great song by a songwriter the audience may not have discovered, to a fresh arrangement of a familiar favorite. Because of my background as an actor, I also think of a concert as an experience and a story—not simply a series of songs.

I’ve been performing professionally for many years in a wide range of settings—as a solo singer-songwriter, guitarist and band member performing folk, rock, blues and roots music, and as an award-winning actor and singer in professional musical theater productions.I’m particularly comfortable with audiences of 20–60 people, where the room can feel less like a concert hall and more like a shared musical experience. My repertoire ranges in style from:

I particularly enjoy creating shows that feel personal and specific to the audience and the place. Depending on the setting, I can lean into blues and roots music in the South, folk and singer-songwriter traditions in the Northeast, Americana, country and swing in the West, or create a completely custom evening around the interests of the host and guests.

I also bring everything needed for a professional, self-contained performance. I travel with my Martin M-30 acoustic guitar, which was gifted to me by my teacher Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna, as well as my own compact Bose sound system, microphone and stands.

I understand how to perform in an intimate house without overwhelming the room—creating enough projection and energy to engage everyone while preserving the feeling of a personal musical gathering.

Most importantly, I know how to hold an audience. My acting background has taught me how to use stories, timing, humor, silence and emotional shifts to take people on a journey—from laughter to reflection to tears and back again.

As an added bonus, I’m also available to offer a songwriting or guitar workshop in conjunction with a house concert. For hosts who want to make an entire day or evening of it, I can offer guests a fun, hands-on opportunity to learn, create and play music together before or after the concert.
